Don’t wait to be chosen—choose yourself. Applications for the Creative Press Studio Residency + Mentorship Program close at midnight on December 3rd (yes, that’s soon!).
This program is for working artists who are ready to take their creative practice and art business seriously. We’re looking for artists who bring professionalism, passion, and follow-through — and who are eager to create a body of work around a theme during our January residency.
If accepted, you’ll receive coaching, structure, and community support to help you fund, create, and launch your next collection.

Three Day Training Workshop
🎨 Residency Training Workshop
December 16–18, 2025 • 12–2 PM EST on Zoom

Kick off your Creative Press Studio Residency with three days of focused, hands-on training designed to set you up for success.
Over the course of this live Zoom workshop, you’ll learn how to:
Develop a clear, compelling theme for your residency collection
Prepare your studio, materials, and creative plan for two weeks of focused making
Set up and market your own “Kickstarter-style” patron campaign to fund and promote your residency
You’ll also receive ready-to-use worksheets, templates, and checklists to guide your process every step of the way.
This training is the foundation of your residency experience—where inspiration meets structure and intention turns into momentum.
You are not required to attend this workshop live, but you will get more out of the experience if you are able to attend live.

Your published residency page is your personal launchpad — the space where your patrons, collectors, and community will follow your creative journey. (We’ll go over all of this together in the December workshop)
By this date, please complete the following:
Publish your residency page on your website, introducing your theme and vision for the residency.
Submit your headshot or a photo of you in your studio to The Creative Press team, along with your artist bio (if you’d like to update or expand what you included in your application).
Once received, our team will begin featuring and marketing your work on The Creative Press Studio website, helping you gain visibility before your residency begins.

It’s time to invite others into your creative process.
During this two-week period, you’ll actively market and build your patron base—the community of supporters who will help fund and champion your residency.
Using the proven strategies in our Creative Press Patron Playbook, you’ll:
Craft authentic outreach that resonates with your audience
Share your story and theme in a way that inspires connection
Invite patrons to become collaborators in your creative journey
You won’t be doing this alone. We’ll guide you every step of the way with templates, prompts, and encouragement designed to help you reach your goals and create genuine relationships with your supporters.

2026 Winter Residency
🎨 The Residency
January 19–31, 2026
This is where the magic truly happens.
For two immersive weeks, you’ll dedicate focused time to creating a cohesive body of work around your chosen theme. This is your chance to deepen your artistic practice, experiment, take creative risks, and experience the full momentum of working in community.
We’ll gather on Zoom three times a week—Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 12:00–2:00 PM EST (end times may vary based on the number of artists). These open-studio sessions are designed to foster collaboration, encouragement, and shared inspiration.
During our time together, you’ll:
Kick off the residency with a virtual studio tour and introduction to your theme and creative goals.
Share works-in-progress, discuss challenges, and brainstorm solutions alongside your peers.
Learn from one another’s process and experience the synergy that comes from creating side by side—even across time zones.
✨ These sessions are equal parts accountability, connection, and creative energy—a space to grow together and celebrate the beauty of making art in community.

Collective Collection Launch

This is what it’s all been leading up to—your collective launch event. Together, we’ll celebrate the completion of the residency with a shared online showcase featuring the collections of all participating artists.
During this event, you’ll unveil your residency body of work to the world, share your stories, and invite collectors, patrons, and supporters to engage with and purchase your art.
You’ll receive a Launch Plan Playbook to help you:
Confidently present your new collection
Share your story across platforms with clarity and heart
Maximize visibility and sales with practical, artist-tested strategies
This launch is more than a single moment—it’s a celebration of everything you’ve created, the community you’ve built, and the light you’ve brought to your practice.
